I understand that they were in the process of renovating some rooms when they received snow damage so those rooms weren’t available. I don’t know exactly what is going on but the hotel rooms need some major renovations. We stayed at the Quail Hollow last year while we attended a swim meet at the Spire Institute and then again this year.
I let her know that I want a manager to return my call as this place was far from worth $130 for 1 night. The lady I spoke with said, "the place is old and repairs are slow to take place". When I tried to address it with the staff (to see it they could put some sort of rug over it for safety) I was told to call on Monday to talk to a manager. My 3 year old granddaughter tripped on the large wrinkles in the carpet. The worst part of this is that not only are the carpets unsafe, there is green nasty stuff all over the walls in the pool area, plaster falling from the ceiling, and a giant hole in the ceiling with a tarp over it! I've never been charged tax for an occupancy fee. I booked a reservation for Saturday night Easter weekend as I had family come into town and was extremely embarrassed and disappointed.ĭon't waste your money!! When I booked I was told $113 for the reservation but they charged my card for $130 and stated there were two additional tax charges.
I have never wrote a review before on a hotel stay but it was not qualified to be called a resort in my opinion, I stayed in a Sleep Inn on my trip and it had more to offer

I lived in the area in 70's to 90's and my daughters wedding reception was held there in 1998 it was outstanding with regard to amenities, restaurant, rooms and service, I knew it was no where near that when I booked for 4 night stay but it was close to family I was visiting, very outdated, lobby floor needed refinishing, no breakfast offered, no coffee in the lobby (standard in most lower priced hotels, no newspaper, TV remote did not work properly they sent maint.
